Famous Economist Professor Wu Jinglian Visits Ambow’s Kunshan Center
Professor Wu Jinglian is a respected economist who holds many distinguished positions in China’s State Council, including Director of the State Council’s R&D Institute for Market Economics and Deputy Director of the State Council’s Economic Reform Research Office, and on the afternoon of October 22 he visited Ambow’s Kunshan Education Center.
After discussing the day-to-day business of Ambow’s educational base in Kunshan with center Vice-president Ding Xiaodong, Professor Wu expressed his own understanding of the training industry. He outlined that the training service outsourcing industry has two important parts: business etiquette and expert knowledge. He especially emphasized the importance of business etiquette, and explained that although some think business etiquette is just a superficial, external subject akin to what kind of clothing one should wear, it is actually a complicated issue that depends upon a person’s character. He stressed that improving business etiquette practices is critical to the success of the service outsourcing industry and will require a deep understanding of Chinese history, an increased familiarity with Western culture, and understanding of each country’s political and economic systems. After seeing the Japanese, European, and American business etiquette course materials, as well as the university student career enhancement education and career guidance teaching materials, that Ambow has already developed, Professor Wu gave his emphatic approval and summarized, “Along with this excellent course material, we have to continue to improve our language skills and cultural competency.”
After learning that Ambow’s Kunshan Education Center will soon be celebrating its one year anniversary, Professor Wu left his signature and sincerely wished Ambow’s Kunshan Education Center continued success.
