Career Enhancement Products and Services
Ambow’s “Better Jobs” programs are designed to help university level students and graduates enhance their practical skills and improve their competitive positioning as they look to start their careers and are offered through two independent colleges and 16 career enhancement centers. We also cooperate with universities to provide career enhancement services to students. Our two independent colleges and university partners help provide us with a large base of customers to whom we are able to offer services and products. We have established partnerships with domestic and international institutions such as Cisco, McGraw-Hill and Skillsoft, to provide training content and job opportunities for students. According to IDC, we were the largest career enhancement services provider in China by annual revenue in 2008.
Our career enhancement centers serve the needs of students, graduates, and employers located throughout China. They are located primarily in or around five career enhancement regional service hubs in China, more specifically, the Bohai Rim Area, central and southern China (Changsha, Zhuzhou, and Xiangtan) and the Yangtze River Delta. One of our largest centers, the Kunshan Ambow Service Outsourcing Industrial Park, located near Shanghai, can serve up to 5,000 students at any given time and focuses on information technology outsourcing and business process outsourcing. This state-of-the-art facility was one of the first career enhancement centers officially approved by China’s Ministry of Education.
Our career enhancement training currently focuses on IT services and digital media training. We provide students with hands-on training for professional skills, including case studies, job environment simulation and specific technical skills. We also teach “soft skills,” such as courses on time management, presentation, leadership and interview techniques, to help recent graduates smoothly transition from academic life to the business world. Our career enhancement curriculum is based on an understanding of the target industries and the actual recruiting needs of our corporate partners and other corporations. In addition, we offer corporate training programs which are designed jointly with our partners to tailor programs based upon the future needs of their employees.
